So the ill fated Stonemen Hockey team that I play for this season had our final game last night. We lost. Again. We lose a lot, a whole lot actually. Here, I ran the numbers, take a look:
Final numbers for the season:
Win/loss/Ties: 0-19-1
Goals For per game: 1.2
Goals Against per game: 5.15
I don’t know whats worse, our record or the fact that I am pleased with only a 5.15 goals against average. ( That is total number of goals scored in a season divided by games)
Technically we have 1 or 2 more games in the obligatory “We told you you would get 2 playoff games when you signed up but they are not really playoff games you giant loser” bracket. So the fat lady has not quite sounded off but she is inhaling deeply.
There is already discussion about what to do next season, Do we comeback at all? Do we accept being a “casual” team, or try to pick up some players(lose some others) and try to win a few games.? We shall see, I suppose.
